Intelligent Reflecting Surface Assisted Mobile Edge Computing for Internet of Things

چکیده

This letter studies the impact of an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) on computational performance in a mobile edge computing (MEC) system. Specifically, access point (AP) equipped with server provides MEC services to multiple Internet Thing (IoT) devices that choose offload portion their own tasks AP remaining being locally computed. We deploy IRS enhance system by intelligently adjusting phase shift each element. A joint design problem is formulated for considered assisted system, aiming optimize its sum bits and taking into account CPU frequency, offloading time allocation, transmit power device as well shifts IRS. To deal non-convexity problem, we conduct our algorithm finding optimized first then achieving jointly optimal solution allocation considering Lagrange dual method Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions. Numerical evaluations highlight advantage IRS-assisted comparison benchmark schemes.

Mobile Edge Computing Empowers Internet of Things

In this paper, we propose a Mobile Edge Internet of Things (MEIoT) architecture by leveraging the fiber-wireless access technology, the cloudlet concept, and the software defined networking framework. The MEIoT architecture brings computing and storage resources close to Internet of Things (IoT) devices in order to speed up IoT data sharing and analytics. Specifically, the IoT devices (belongin...

Wireless Powered Cooperation-Assisted Mobile Edge Computing

This paper studies a mobile edge computing (MEC) system in which two mobile devices are energized by the wireless power transfer (WPT) from an access point (AP) and they can offload part or all of their computation-intensive latency-critical tasks to the AP connected with an MEC server or an edge cloud. This harvest-then-offload protocol operates in an optimized timedivision manner. To overcome...
